Weekend Getaway

WHAT a weekend! It was beyond crazy. Are you ready for this post? ;) This past Thursday morning, my sweet husband decided he wanted to weed-whack his Grandma and Grandpa Fuller's new home's lawn before we drove down to Utah. He had been wanting to do it the last few weeks and thought this would be a good time to squeeze it into his schedule. He said he was about 30 feet away and thought he heard a noise. When he walked back to the car to put the weed-whacker away he noticed the rear window was shattered! UGH! It just so happens that he found a local glass company who had a rear window in stock and they had the car ready for us to drive to Utah 2 hours later! Not the best way to start a trip, but it was a blessing it worked out so well.

As soon as we got to Utah, we drove to see the end of my niece Kalli's soccer game. She scored a goal for her team! She's the cute one with the glasses.

My wonderful in-laws got us a suite in the Kimball Hotel in Salt Lake City. We walked around temple square and checked out the new mall.

Here is a picture of Riley's room. Little did we know what a rough night it would be! The poor girl caught a terrible stomach bug (probably from her sister who had it a few days before) and managed to throw up over 20 times all night long. I lost count after 20. She became a pro at throwing up in a bowl, but only after she had barfed in all three beds. The poor maid probably quit her job after seeing Riley's room.

Just had to mention that our suite kitchen was bigger than my kitchen. We got spoiled. :)

And......lucky us! Another day at Lagoon!

Happy Baby

Does she look like she puked her guts out the night before?

Peek - A

Boo!

I love them. a lot.

After Lagoon, we spent two nights up at my parents beautiful cabin home in Heber City. Two of my brothers came with their families. It was wonderful to spend some time with them.

WHAT a weekend! Thanks for all the memories.

  3. Great post. It is weird to see people having fun at our place without us. Isn't it interesting how we come to appreciate things. For example, you were so happy that that throwing up was only one night's worth and not more.
