Tie-Dye Birth-dye!

BEWARE! These pictures are to "DYE" for! :) Sage turned ONE on March 15, 2012. And, we can hardly believe it! The theme for her birthday party was tie-dye. And, I just realized the picture below is the only one I took of the cute plates and cups! Oops!
I thought it would be fun to tie-dye her onesie. I googled how to tie-dye and found a really neat/easy/mess free way to do it! All it took was a couple of sharpies, a pencil and some rubbing alcohol. I could explain how it works here on the blog...but, it might be easier for you to just google it. :)
Didn't it turn out super cute?
We had delicious breakfast enchiladas for dinner. I don't know if that's actually what they were called, but they were so good! Thanks Fuller's! Check out cute little Archimedes in the corner.

Mmmmm....raspberry muffins!

What a sugar baby! I want to eat her for dessert. Everyday. We are so glad little Miss Sage is in our lives. As my husband says, "she's a baby that stays a baby...kind of like a puppy that you want to have stay a puppy." She just barely learned to army crawl not too long ago and now she can get into the sitting position by herself. She just doesn't have that urgency to get around and explore the world yet. And, that is perfectly fine with us. We like the slow pace. Love you baby girl!

Heise Hot Springs

Heise Hot Springs is a natural mineral hot spring. It's kept at a temperature of around 104 degrees. They also have a warm pool, which is fresh water kept at around 92 degrees. Perfect for little kids and families. Especially during the winter!

La Grande, Oregon & Jake's 28th Birthday!

It's about time I went to see Grandma and Grandpa Fuller (Riley and Sage's Great Grandparents) and Uncle David in their hometown! It was great to spend some time with them and get to know them a little better. They live in the beautiful state of Oregon, on five acres of land. Below is a picture of Riley in front of their home.
Grandma Fuller took us to a neat place called, Hot Lake Springs. The building in the background is pretty old and has gone through massive remodeling. It was vandalized and part of it burned down. A family bought it and have been fixing it up for almost a decade. It's now a bed and breakfast/museum.
Those of you who have had to share a room with your whole family know that it can be a nightmare...particularly if you have more than one child. And, it was. If Sage wasn't scratching the pack n play netting and whining while looking for her pacifier, Riley was screaming and crying, "Mommy!!! Help me!" from her own personal nightmare at 2 am. Meanwhile, I couldn't sleep a wink because I have had severe migraines lately (just found out I need a root canal).
At least they are cute.
This is the Fuller's backyard. They own an impressive orchard, where they grow mainly pear trees.

Uncle David let Riley play his drums in the garage. :)
Grandma let Riley play with a "cute, little, tiny tea set," as Riley called it.
We forgot to bring a chair for Sage to sit in while she ate, but it turned out just fine.
The view from Grandma's kitchen window.

Riley sure loves animals!
This picture cracks me up! Sage is a ham. You can see her two front teeth in this picture. Makes me want to eat her up!
Left to Right- David, Grandpa, Grandma, Mark and Jake
Such a sweet moment! Sage has finally gotten over her "stranger danger" phase. We are glad Grandpa got to love on her.
Grandma reading to Riley

Grandma and Grandpa Fuller are moving to Idaho Falls this summer. Yay! We thought we would fill up our trailer and bring their wheat home with us to help them start moving. Driving from La Grande to Idaho Falls takes about 7-8 hours and when we were less than an hour from home, one of the wheels on the trailer failed us! It was actually the perfect place to shred a tire because we were across the road from a gas station. So, I took the girls inside while the boys changed the tire.

Jake turned 28 yesterday! I want to tell you something. I have the best husband ever. It's true. He probably had the worst birthday ever, but he put a smile on just for me. Because I have been in so much pain I didn't plan as much as I could have for his special day. Although, I am taking him night skiing in a couple days if I'm still alive by then. Pray for me to be alive so I can take him night skiing.
I love you, Babe.

She's Growing Up! (insert * tear)

Better late then never! She understands now! Riley just learned how to ride her tricycle by herself! (Give her the benefit of the doubt. It's cold here! She doesn't have many opportunities to be outside.) It was great to see her so happy and accomplished. :)

Riley just started swimming lessons and she is a pro! She is learning so much in such a short amount of time. We are proud of her! She has always liked the water, but she used to want to cling to your neck for dear life. Now, she makes me a little nervous with how trusting she is. They do some exercises without their life jackets on and I think Riley forgets it's not on sometimes! Good thing it's a small class and her instructor is awesome and observant.

I can't believe we have a child old enough to get involved and participate in activities/sports! She picked swimming and we are glad she is loving every minute of it!
