I wanted to share the latest about Sage. We can't believe she is going to be ONE next month! And, neither can anyone else who looks at her. She looks more like a 5 or 6 month old! She is a ham like her older sister, full of personality. She can't look at any of us in the family without the biggest grin on her face. Her favorite thing in the world is blankets. Anytime she sees one she worms over to it and rolls around on it, bites it, rubs her face in it and laughs the entire time she is holding one. She is still nursing. I never thought I would let a child of mine nurse for this long, but the truth is I'm going to miss that time we share when it's over. However, I am looking forward to wearing normal shirts and dresses again! Sage likes to copy us. She will scrunch up her face and shake her head when she sees one of us doing it. She also laughs along even when she has no idea what is so funny. And, that makes all of us laugh harder. She is good at playing by herself IF someone is in the same room as her. She doesn't like to be alone. This is where having an older sister comes in handy! I can still take a shower and do some things around the house because the girls have each other for company. I have to talk about Riley for just a second....she is a superb sharer! I am always impressed with her giving nature. Occasionally, there are certain special toys she doesn't want Sage playing with (which is totally understandable) but she automatically gives her baby sister something else that's hers to chew on. :) The other day Riley and I were looking at a family picture. I asked Riley what Sage was to her. She said, "my baby friend." We love baby sister. We couldn't picture life without her! She makes it so much sweeter!

Girly Project!

Step 1: Take a rather large frame, (I used one we already had) and remove whatever is in it's place that's not as cool as this.

Step 2: Go buy chicken wire at C-A-L Ranch and staple it to the back of the frame around the edges. (We used a staple gun. The staples are sure to stay in this way.)

Step 3: Clip on lots of incredibly cute hair accessories for your girls.

Step 4: Stand back and admire the awesomeness of your craftiness.

A Late Winter

Besides the fact that it has been freezing cold for several months, the snow has stayed away! Do I dare hope that maybe it will be a shorter winter in Idaho?! Probably not...more likely it will snow till the 4th of July, but I can dream. :)

5 Year Anniversary!

This year we waited for Brooke and Leonard's family to join us for Christmas! And, we are sure glad we did! We opened presents on Jake and I's 5 year anniversary! (December 29th) We have yet to go out on a date to celebrate, but are so glad we were with family on our special day. :) We missed having Scott and Markell's families with us and hope they had wonderful holidays.

We don't know what mean things Leonard is saying to Tarek, but this picture makes me laugh! ;)

Elder Jackson Fuller has a birthday next month, which means he has almost been out a full YEAR on his mission! He gave his nieces and nephews hats from Peru for Christmas. Aren't they all so cute?! We miss Elder Fuller, but know he is where he should be and are so proud of him. :) It was great to hear his voice on Christmas day.

I received a wonderful call from my beautiful sister-in-law Chrissy. Her and my brother Jeremy invited us to come down and see them during the holidays. Jake and I love being around our families and were thrilled to get to spend some time with the Blickenstaff's and Lund's. Chrissy is a Lund and her family has an amazing cabin in Deer Valley, Utah, where we stayed for a couple days. It's been newly remodeled and is even more stunning than it was before. We were able to go skiing, swimming, play games, watch movies and best of all visit with our loved one's. It was a neat trip and I'm so glad we were able to go!

Things are finally looking up! I kid you not, our family has seen better days. Nearly 3 weeks of illness took place in the Fuller home. Jake had a sore throat. Riley developed a cough she couldn't kick. And, Sage went through HE** (HECK;) and back. I understand it's "that time of year," to get every type of sickness, but the poor baby didn't know what hit her! It started out with a week of a runny nose. Followed by 3 days of hives. Followed by 3 days of fever (all the way up past 103 degree's!) and throwing up. Ending at the beginning with a runny nose. On top of which her doctor is always drilling me about her weight. At the moment, I'm just trying to re-hydrate the girl. She can gain a few pounds later...let's focus on keeping her alive. My Mom has some words of wisdom, "you wouldn't appreciate being healthy if you weren't sick sometimes." Amen! Now, that my family seems to have turned the corner we couldn't be happier. My children are smiling again! And, laughing! I am so thankful to be getting out of this nightmare. I am also thankful I didn't get sick. Plenty of stress and worry and lack of sleep, but not sick. I wouldn't have been able to take care of anyone if I was in on all that fun. So, things could always be worse! :) Here's to a happy HEALTHY Christmas! We hope each of you have fun celebrating this special time of year with your loved ones.

I Am Thankful

As we approach Thanksgiving, I (Jana) wanted to share some things I am thankful for. But, where to begin?! At the moment it is 34 degree's and snowing. So, I am going to start off by saying that I am thankful for my home which keeps me out of the elements and a furnace.

I am thankful for:

* Chocolate and other sweets I crave right after lunch and dinner.

* Dentists who fix my teeth so they don't rot away (from before mentioned cravings)

* Phones. I don't think I would have lived well before there were phones.

* Computers and the ability to e-mail (I have a whole new appreciation for technology since my parents left on their mission.)

* Medicine! It has saved me many a discomfort in my life-time.

Of course I am going to save the best ones for last...

I am thankful for Jesus Christ and that I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am also thankful for the opportunities I've had to share my testimony of Him and I pray there will be many more opportunities to do so. I am thankful for Joseph Smith and his service and sacrifice for the gospel and for modern day prophets and apostles.

I am thankful for all the wonderful examples in my life. People who make me want to be better. People who inspire me. Most of these people who I admire are in my family. My parent's are incredible people. My brother's and their families. I was fortunate enough to marry into an amazing family as well. I am thankful for my "other" Mom and Dad. They have accepted me into their family. I can see that they love me and my children. They are honest and caring. I am thankful for Jake's brothers and sisters and their families. I love being around all of my family on both sides and miss the ones I can't be around as much.

I am most thankful for the opportunity to be a wife and mother. I will forever be indebted to my Savior for the people He has placed in my life. And, for the ability we have to live together forever. My husband turned out to be one of the best there can be. He is very devoted to his family. He is one of the most self-less people I've ever met. He willingly helps around the house without me asking him to. My girls are lucky to have the man they call 'Dad.' And, I'm blessed to be his wife. My children teach me so much each and every day. I am so thankful for such sweethearts. I never would have dreamed being a mother would be this rewarding!

Have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING week everyone! Remember to count all YOUR many blessings! Even the smallest ones. :)

Exciting times! It's so fun having baby number two around because everything is a first...again! Sage is almost 8 months old and she has been hitting many milestones in her life lately. Including her first tooth! WHAT? I know this is normal for her to be getting teeth at her age, but it took me by surprise! Time is going by too fast! I love and adore this little munchkin and I want her stay a baby forever! She is such a happy little girl, always smiling and laughing. We are lucky to have her in our family! Love you my lubell!

Run for your lives! The Zombies are coming!!! This was such a fun race! The main reason it was such a great race was because I got to run it with a really good friend I hadn't seen in over a year! Anna and I signed up as "survivors." Survivors got a 1 minute head-start after which they sounded a bull-horn and un-leashed the Zombies! Once the first Zombie passed us I glanced down at my watch and it had only taken them another minute and a half to catch up with us! They were fast! I was able to finish the race with a time of 25:26, which is my personal record! :) Overall, I finished in 49th place out of 249 people. And, I was in 9th place out of 40 in my female age group. Thanks for running with me, Anna! Let's do it again sometime!

Raise your hand if you are incredibly excited. I am! Me, me oh pick MEEE!!! Our home was built in 1930 and in 80 plus years no one bothered to finish the basement! It was cold and dark and ugly, until my handy hubby came along. :) We have lived in this home for almost 2 years now and used to hate going downstairs. I can remember being 6 or 7 months pregnant with Sage and crying on the stairs that led to the basement. I wanted so badly for the kids to have a play room. That's when Jake and I decided that every penny and second of time we could spare would go into making the basement a cozy place for our family to play and relax in. Can I just say, Hooray?!!! Jake is a superstar. I am so grateful for the many hours he put into this project to make it possible. If it weren't for him, it would look/feel exactly the same. Now, we can't find enough reasons to be downstairs! And, the kids LOVE it just as much as we do!! Thank you sweet, attractive and hard-working husband of mine, now let's go make a carpet angel!

Our Limbs Are Falling Off!

No, no one has leprosy or gang-green. Our day started out like this...it started to snow, than snow some more. It's 34 degrees at the moment and guess what? Still snowing. Usually a first snow would be welcomed! But, not when it's just the beginning of October and it was 80 degrees a few days ago. In this instance it's a terrible surprise. Idaho seems to think that 8 or 9 months of snow isn't enough. "Let's make it come earlier and last longer...Muahahahahaha!" We are NOT ready for this weather!

Well, maybe Riley is ready :)

Okay, I'm going to keep this short because I can feel the tears coming again! Nobody like's to say goodbye to those they love! It's finally sinking in. Our last trip to see my parent's before they go on their mission was bittersweet. I'm going to miss them enormously! My baby won't be a baby when they come back! :( But, we are excited for them and all the adventures they will have serving the Lord. God be with them till we meet again.

6 months already?

Baby Sage is 6 months old! We can hardly believe it! She fits right into our family and we adore having her around. In the last couple of weeks she's been introduced to solids. Rice cereal, squash, pears and green beans so far. Let's just say she's adjusting.... :) She's not a huge fan of any of it, but she'll get the hang of it soon. She's never had anything besides breast milk and it looks like that's all she likes at the moment! (Riley absolutely LOVED baby food, so this is a new experience for all of us).

Riley really wanted to try it. Haha! So, Jake gave her a big scoop of rice cereal and I don't think she'll be asking for more any time soon.

Sage Spotlight: So you can get to know her better. :)

She is a doll. When she cries, we pay attention to why she is because it doesn't happen very often. She's a pretty mellow little girl. She likes to coo and gurgle when she's extra happy. She like's having her head hang upside down. Let me explain. After I feed her she scoots up so her head is hanging upside down over my arm. If she's laying on her back in your lap she'll move backward's till her head is upside down off your lap. :) haha! She must think the blood flow to her head is funny. Don't worry, we don't allow her to be in this position very long. She love's her big sister, Riley. The 2 of them are best buds and I hope they can feel this way about one another forever. Riley is sad almost every time Sage goes down for a nap and get's super excited when she hears she's awake. Sage has the coolest hair! We can't wait to see what it looks like when it grows a little longer. It looks dark indoors, but the moment light shines on it, it's got the prettiest honey colored highlights! She's a little babe for sure. :) I love you Sage Jennifer! I didn't know I could love another child as much as I love Riley, but you proved me wrong!

5K Foam Fest

Today I ran a race! In all honesty I didn't know what to expect. The course was a 5k with obstacles such as hurdles, tire towers, walls that were 8 and 12 feet tall you had to climb over, a cargo net, a huge mud pit, sand dunes (which lasted about half the race, much of it uphill!) And, of course FOAM! My team consisted of 12 people...most of which were my brother-in-law, Paul and his cousins. There were about 40 people in our race. (They had races starting every hour all day long.) Paul came in 2nd place!!! Wahoo! Way to go Paul! And, my hubby wasn't positive, but pretty sure I came in 6th or 7th place. Which came as a bit of a shock to me! I just kept telling myself not to stop running! It was so much fun and I would do it again! Thanks to all our family and friends who came out to support us. Knowing you were watching/cheering me on, made me push myself and do much better than I thought I would!

My Uncle John works at Disneyland on the steam engines that go around the park. If it weren't for him, we wouldn't get the chance to go to Disneyland.

The more tired Sage got, the more she drooled. :) Poor girl!

You know it was a huge success when Riley falls asleep on you. That NEVER happens.

We went to some fun playgrounds too!

Seriously....we want to move to California. But, it's sooo incredibly expensive! Jake and I went for a walk one evening and found a house for sale. They were asking $650,000!!! And, it was a small home! So, we will continue to visit my sweet Grandma and enjoy every second. We had the best time! Thank you Grandma for always making us feel so special! We love you!

Grandma, It was so nice of you to have Jake and Riley stay in your home on such short notice! Happy Be-lated Birthday and thanks for these great pictures!

Jake and Riley went on a "special trip" (what Riley calls long car rides) to visit Jake's Grandpa and Grandma Fuller in Oregon. And, they had a blast! The highlight of their vacation was going shooting with Grandpa. I told Jake that Riley was too young to learn how to shoot a gun and not to teach her... he's a good listener as you can see below. ;)

And! Riley got a new pool! It was time to up-grade from her baby pool and this one is big enough for me to play in!

There is a really neat setting on my camera where I can tell it to focus on one color and make everything else black and white. So, I've been experimenting lately and love the results I am getting! Aren't we so blessed to live in a world full of COLOR?

We went to visit my sweet Grandma Joanne who was visiting my parents in Heber City! She came all the way from southern California and we didn't want to miss the opportunity to see her! After a super successful garage sale (Yay!) ...we went to play in Grandpa and Grandma Fuller's backyard! Because they love their grandkids so much - they decided they would purchase a fun summer toy for them to play on! Thank you!!! Riley absolutely love's it and we'll be over again soon!

Riley was invited to an adorable birthday party where they had face-painting! And, the lady that did the face-painting is super talented!! I loved watching her paint all the kids faces and was amazed how fast she was too! (She would start and finish in 2 minutes tops!) Riley, being the cute little tom-boy that she is, wanted a snake! (Who wouldn't?!)

A few months ago we went to Applebee's for dinner and they had face-painting. And, guess who did it?! This same super talented lady that was at the birthday party! Riley wanted to be a cow! I know it's difficult to see, but the red and yellow thing down on her cheek/chin is a bow and cowbell! "Moooooo!" LOVE IT!

I wanted to include this pictures because I'm obsessed with these girls! Riley loves to hold her little sister (just like her Momma :)...we talk about how tiny Sage's fingers and toes are and giggle a lot! Sage's smile is sooo contagious- we can't wait till she's laughing with us!

Little Sage getting some shut eye. (PS...I just took Sage in for her 2 month appointment and she weighed 7 lbs 12 oz. That put's her in the 1st percentile on the charts, which makes her Mommy a bit stressed. She is growing, but pretty slowly. If you remember, please keep her in your prayers. I'm sure she'll hit a growth spurt-hopefully sooner than later :) She's a happy little girl and acts perfectly healthy...thank goodness! So, we'll just keep an eye on her and pray for fat rolls!

A couple of weeks ago we went to Lagoon! It was a blast!! We went to watch my niece Kalli clog with her group and she did a fabulous job! It was so fun watching her. Sadly, I didn't take any pictures of her because I was feeding Sage during her performances. :( I should have told Jake to take some, but we were having so much fun watching her, I forgot to ask him to! My mother-in-law was very generous and bought us all tickets to go play on the rides. (Thank you!!!) She even watched Sage so I could go on some of them! (Thank you!!!) Good job Kalli-you are super talented! And, thanks Jackie/Courtney for inviting us to tag along! :)

After Sage was blessed, we went to the park to play, feed the ducks and grill burgers for lunch! It was a lot of fun and the weather cooperated for us for the most part. :) Thank you again to all the family that attended our ward and for your love and support. This cracks me up! I just had to include some pictures of going to the park after Riley hunted for Easter eggs. There was NO room for her in the buggy with Sage in her car-seat! But, she was a good sport about it. :)

They re-did/upgraded the park closest to our house-Yay! I don't know if you can truly appreciate how gigantic that slide is in this picture, but it is really tall! I'm glad Riley was barely big enough to climb up by herself. It looks like they built this for kids 8 years old and up!

I'm so glad the last two days were warm enough to play outside! Keep it coming Idaho! We hope everyone had a Happy Easter and that you had Christ in your hearts and candy in your bellies!

New Furniture!

Okay, so this furniture isn't necessarily "new," but it's new to us! My parent's brought up a bunch of furniture from their home in Texas that is going up for sale. We are SO excited to have couches (not to mention leather)!! They are VERY comfortable too! (We've had futon's for the last 4 years thanks to in-laws and DI). We also got 2 bookshelves (and a lot of books), a really nice computer desk, lawn mower, kitchen pots and pans etc...
This is Sage's room! Nothing in this room is new, but it used to be Jake's office so it looks completely different. (Thanks Babe for giving up your room :) Once you finish the basement you can move in down there!)

My parent's brought up a queen bed and dresser too! Riley went from a toddler bed, to this gigantic one. :) She looks really small in it! She loves having a mirror! And, it's low enough to see herself in it. Her favorite thing to do is make funny faces in it. :) Thanks to this stupid Elmo show she watched, we have to convince Riley that her room isn't scary. (Elmo was yelling for his Dad every 5 seconds, to tell him there was something hiding under his bed and closet! What kind of a good-night movie is that??!? Teaching kids to be terrified of going to bed...shame on them)

Our sweet baby girl is finally here! Sage Jennifer Fuller (named after my Mom, Jennifer) was born Tuesday, March 15th at 6:06 pm. She weighed 6 lbs 15 oz and was 19 inches long. Labor and delivery went well and both baby and I are doing great! Sage looks almost identical to Riley. Lot's of dark hair and dark eyes. She is beautiful! We are so happy to have her finally with us!

I'm not having an emotional/hormonal breakdown at the moment so I decided to blog! (Yay for me!) My latest news on this pregnancy:
At my 37th week doctor appointment I was told I was dilated to 2 cm!! Wahoo-except for here I am still pregnant. I thought being dilated meant something..at least I'll have a faster labor and delivery, right? Anywho, I got super excited with this information, because I didn't dilate with Riley until I was in active labor for many hours. So, this is a new experience for me. (Keep in mind Riley came at 37 weeks 6 days). So, here I am thinking, yes!! -I'm going to have another 2 week early baby! Well, my 38th week appointment comes...dang! And, the doctor tells me I am now at 3 cm!! Wahoo-when I got to a 3 last time, I was getting an epidural! So, this is awesome news! But, here I am-still pregnant! I went to my 39th week appointment today..and the nurse says, "have you not had ANY contractions yet? I mean you are 39 weeks!" And, I wanted to slap her. (Yes, I said slap) I'm not to my due date yet lady - give me a break! So, this has pretty much been a really, really LONG journey for me. I know I will look back on this and laugh..but, seriously..it's super difficult to be more pregnant than you were before! And, having the doctor tell me, "I'm surprised you haven't had her yet," doesn't help me!! I will keep hanging on! Pregnancy ends at some point-right? I mean I have never heard of someone who was pregnant for forever..but, I might be the first in history. ;)

I went to start the car this morning and shovel the sidewalk. When I got back to the house my daughter had decided to lock the door. I don't think she knew what she was doing, she was just playing with the door-knob. I said, "Riley turn the little handle." (Luckily she was just standing there smiling at me through the window.) She just jiggled it and looked up at me. After several attempts of her trying to do what I was telling her, (I was getting cold- it was 17 degrees outside!) I said, "Riley, Mommy is stuck...you have to unlock the door PLEASE!" She smiled and said, "Ok, be nice Mom!" hahaha... since I am now writing this post, you know she eventually succeeded and unlocked the door. :)

35 Weeks Pregnant=Only 5 Weeks Left! I can do this! :) Baby girl weighs approximately 5 1/2 pounds and is about 20 inches long now! We still have some growing to do before this is all over. A new symptom I've developed the last couple of weeks are Braxton Hicks Contractions. These are a totally new experience for me. They are uncomfortable but, aren't painful like "real" labor contractions are. I'm anxious for the "real" ones to begin! Hope everyone is having a wonderful February so far!

My Sister-in-Law Courtney let me barrow this cute jungle pattern that you trace on your wall! I had been wanting to do something to decorate Riley's room a little more and this was perfect (especially since Riley LOVES animals)! I had fun deciding what colors to paint everything and now have a super excited daughter who tells me what the animals are doing in her room. :) "The etuhtent (elephant) is hiding behind a tree and eating grass!" And, "the bird is talking to the giraffe... see Mom!"

At 33 weeks pregnant- I've almost "lost" it several times. Of course the entire pregnancy has gone by fast until recently. I am NOT comfortable. My back hurts 24/7, but at least it's always in multiple spots to keep me aware of the problem...and guessing where the next spot will arise. ;) It KILLS to put socks and shoes on. I hate it. (Yes, I know hate is a strong word and I meant it.) I have not gotten use to my groin muscle pains. I didn't experience them with my last pregnancy- and they are horrible. Especially after sitting or standing long periods of time. I didn't care to know that I even had muscles down there, but they let me know they exist constantly. Sleeping has been an issue for a while now. I can't breath, so I turn in bed, which is difficult and painful with no abs. I turn back and forth all night long to get the feeling back in my legs-which keep falling asleep (also an issue I didn't have last pregnancy). Every time I look at myself in the mirror I think, "OH MY GOSH- I'm a WALRUS!" And, it embarrasses me to know that is what my husband has to look at on a daily basis. Poor guy! I STILL get sick every morning...the moment I open my eyes. But, I usually manage to keep a nausea pill down long enough for it to begin working. (A HUGE blessing compared to last time). No matter how hard I try, I waddle. I have this limp or something that came out of no where and I can't kick it. Someday, I'll walk normal again, right??
PHEW! :) Now that you know my body and self esteem are down the tubes- I really DO want to share some positive things.
I'm very grateful for another healthy pregnancy. Every time I feel a kick, hiccup, or complete roll, I smile and thank my Heavenly Father. And, even though pregnancy get's pretty tough toward the end, I know it's easier to take care of a baby inside of your body, rather than out and am glad that it takes 9 months to become mentally prepared for such an event. (Although nothing can help you prepare for newborns and there lack of sleep at night-just knowing there is an end somewhere in the future I guess ;)

We are excited to meet our little gal and want the very best for her!

Christmas and Our 4th Anniversary

We were Blessed to have family come visit us for Christmas this year! My parents and brother Jason drove up to Idaho for a few days, and it was a treasure having them here. 2 days after Christmas, my sweet husband lost his job. We feel unsure about where life will take us and are nervous about how to provide for the new addition to our family. But, we know Heavenly Father loves us and is aware of our situation. We have many things to be thankful for! Jake and I just celebrated our 4th year Anniversary. I am so grateful to have him as my husband/best friend and I look forward to the next 4 years with him! :) We hope everyone has a Happy New Year and a joyous 2011!

Sweet Riley is 3 today!! I can't believe how fast time flies! She was a beautiful fairy for her Bday :)
I made her a flower cake this year and it turned out better than I thought it would...phew!
She got spoiled with some fun presents from family! (I'm SO glad she has some new things to entertain her!)
Last night, the baby was very active :) - so I couldn't fall asleep for a while. I laid in bed and thought, "this night, 3 years ago, I went into labor." I remember how scared/excited I was to meet my little girl. I had no idea what a blessing she would be in my life. The changes that would take place, as I learned how to be her mother. I'll be forever grateful to my Heavenly Father for sending her our way. She is my best buddy- always asking if I'm alright and wanting me to be happy. She is very observant and caring.We love you sweet Riley and want the very best for you in life! I hope the next 3 years won't fly by as fast...but, I already know they will.

Mexico (Xpu-Ha)

As you can see, Jake is incredibly excited to be in Mexico! haha :)

Xpu-Ha Palace Resort was an ecological vacation spot with a variety of local animals. (Turtles)
They had 3 large crocodiles and 5 medium sized crocodiles. ("cocodrillo's"- in Spanish)
There were only 30 people staying at this resort, so we had the entire place to ourselves! :)

Riley got her first professional manicure! She was in Heaven!!

My Dad took some cute maternity pics of me. He did a great job! Look at sweet Riley :)
The sunsets were breathtaking! Every night they were different colors! I enjoyed playing with my new camera.

We stayed in bungalows in the jungle. Each had a private balcony-where we ate breakfast.

You don't think of deer when you think of Mexico, but here they are! They ate out of our hands!

Iguana's were EVERYWHERE and they came in all different shapes and sizes. The ones here locally were gray.

The ruins at Tulum were fabulous! Right on the ocean. The Mayan's were ahead of their times.

We went to church in Playa del Carmen. The people were VERY nice and we enjoyed singing without a pianist :)

My parents watched Riley while Jake and I went snorkeling in Akumal. It was awesome!

Kayaking in the cenote was fun...a cenote is salt water, mixed with fresh water-you can see 30 ft down.
Here Jake is relaxing, while Riley is doing all the work ;)....hehe
Mexico was such a blast! The weather was perfect. It wasn't too hot (in fact it got a little chilly at night) and it rained once for only 5 minutes the entire time. I took over 500 pics and it was hard for me to pick just a few to post! Thanks a million Mom and Dad for such an awesome vacation!

We had a blast Trick-or-Treating this year! We were able to go to 2 trunk-or-treats and went to Grandma and Grandpa Fuller's neighborhood for "real" door to door trick-or-treating. :) Riley was Minnie Mouse and made a pretty adorable one at that!

(This is a picture of the Houston Temple, where we were married. My sisters-in-law and I got together to make temple blocks. They turned out really cute!)

I had a birthday last week! And, I got spoiled. :) I got some money from my mother-in-law Jackie and went maternity clothes shopping. It's always nice to get money and not feel guilty about spending it on whatever you wish! So, thank you Jackie! I asked my parents for a camera and am super excited to experiment with it. I have been wanting one for a while now. Our other camera has been taking blurry pics for too long! Thanks a ton Mom and Dad! And, my wonderful/creative husband took me out to dinner and gave me a really neat device that allows you to hear the baby moving inside of you! But, we'll have to wait till I'm in my 3rd trimester to listen. You're suppose to be able to hear the baby's heartbeat, her kicks and when she has hiccups. :) Thanks babe!

I'm excited for the upcoming holidays! And, every year our decorations grow more and more :) I made the mistake of taking Riley to Halloween City this year. It's a store that only shows up around this time of year... I had never been inside before and I wanted to check it out. Don't go in unless you like really grotesque and bloody decorations!! Riley started screaming and shaking the moment I opened the door to the store. I felt so bad! We walked right back out. I am a much bigger fan of cute and happy halloween decorations. The scariest decoration we have is a miniature skeleton outside and Riley like's to "pet" him. :)

Just wanted to take a moment and jot down some things that Riley has been saying lately. :)

This is what she say's as I'm laying her down for a nap.
"First park, then nap-time?" Or, "First toy show, (Toy Story) then nap time? Ok Mom!!" (She like's to answer her own questions with wishful thinking)

Jake: "Riley, why did you put yourself in time-out in nursery?"
Riley: "Because."

Jake: "Hey Riley... Come here I want to tell you something!"
Riley: "Sorry Dad. I'm busy."

When you tell her, "No" and she really wants to do it-she sighs and says, "Aww man..."

And, when she get's really excited about something-she says, "Oh goodness!"

Occasionally, she'll walk-in on me going to the bathroom and exclaim, "Good girl Mom!" :)

If you tell her she is cute, she'll reply "No, Pretty!"

Every time she meets someone she says, "Hi! I'm 2!" (I can't believe she'll be 3 soon!)

When we drive past a McDonald's she'll say, "Mmmmm burger so yummy, SEE donald's Mom?!"

I love this little girl! She makes me laugh on a daily basis! She's the most observant person I have EVER been around. She'll see a balloon way up in the sky and point out that it has Elmo on it...all before Jake and I can even FIND the balloon she's talking about. She's a smarty pants, that's for sure!

15 Weeks

According to some website I found....the baby is about the size of an apple. I've been feeling "quickening" every once in a while for the last 2 weeks! (For those of you who have never heard that term, or forgot what it means-it's when you feel the baby fluttering/moving). But, you don't actually feel a kick until you are about 18 weeks along. So, not much longer! :)

Blackfoot Fair

We LOVE going to the Blackfoot Fair! Mainly because of all the delicious food. Just writing this post is making me drool. The prime rib sandwiches, turkey legs, chicken fingers, nachos, scones and ice cream! I could go on and on....Riley's favorite part were the rides for sure! (Thanks again, Gma and Gpa Fuller!) Oh! And, the fact that she had a nervous breakdown because Jake and I didn't get her her very own ice cream cone. We solved the problem quickly and got her "Pink Ice Cream" Fast! The breakdown wasn't her favorite part (or ours for that matter), but the pink ice cream was def. a highlight in her day!

Old Faithful/Yellowstone

You are looking at a picture of the one and only, "Old Faithful!" It goes off about every 90 minutes.

The rock turns orange as a result of underground run-off water, containing minerals and bacteria. You can't tell in this pic. but it was really vibrant.
You wouldn't want to swim in this beautiful pool of water! (Notice the bubbling?) The water is around 160 degrees F! (To give you some idea of how hot that is, a jacuzzi is usually around 105)

Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Fuller, we had a wonderful day at Yellowstone National Park! I'll have to ask my parents, but I don't think I had ever been before. It's a beautiful place and I just learned while we were there- that it was the very first National Park established in the United States. We saw wild bison, elk, moose and a coyote! And, we even went to the IMAX theater! Thank you again G-ma and G-pa Fuller for treating us to such a fun day! We had a blast :)

12 Weeks

After waiting 2 hours in the doctors office, (My doc had an emergency surgery) Riley and I finally got to hear the baby's heartbeat! I was excited and Riley was pretty confused. :) We will be talking about what a heartbeat even is for the next few days....

Some sudden changes that have been happening to me in the last couple weeks (all of which are completely normal and sometimes quite annoying, if you don't want to know some things about my personal life stop reading here) :

*I have to go to the bathroom every 10 minutes. You think I'm joking? I have to go more often than my potty-training daughter. (those of you who have been around my daughter will think this is impossible) I also have to wake up 2-3 times per night to go!!
*It hurt's incredibly bad to button my pants already. Sad, I know. But, I can't quite fit into maternity clothes, so I apologize to the people who stare at me thinking I don't know my fly is down. (I'm talking to you Wal-Mart shoppers! Give a girl a break, this is what all of you look like on a daily basis, so stop judging me..haha JK)
*I have to constantly eat, and by constantly- I mean I have to pause from writing this post, to go and get something to eat (It's been a couple minutes since the last time I ate...I don't want to wither away ;)
*I just bought a bra to fit my "growing bust" and within a week, I can't breathe with it on. What's a girl to do??
*And, I'm sooo tired! (Not as tired as those of you who have newborns) But, it's kind of a catch 22. You see if I have time to take a nap, I wake up with a gigantic headache! I don't know why, but it happens every time. It's almost not worth it to get a rest in, but some days its really needed!

Aside from all of these lovely changes, I am very excited to welcome another baby into our family! My complaints are VERY small, compared to my last pregnancy and for this I am grateful. I hope I put a smile on your face!

When Daddy came home from work last night at 7 pm, he asked Riley what she wanted to do before bedtime (Which is at 8 pm). She immediately said, "Swim!" We thought it might be a bit cold with the sun going down, so Jake filled the pool up with warm water from the sink. This is the last year she will be able to fit in her baby pool! :( Than baby will get it and Riley will get an upgrade! :)

Blick Family Reunion

This is the RV my parent's rented from Cruise America! My Mom was a bit embarrassed by all the advertising on it, but I told her it could be worse. It was an awesome adventure (we had never been in one before) and Riley kept calling it, "Fun Bus!"

Some of us camped in tents, some got a small cabin and some were in RV's. Riley and I were blessed to get a cabin! We were in #5 the farthest one away (I'm not complaining, but it was the farthest from the bathroom's............so there was a lot of running)
My Mom and Dad were incredibly helpful with Riley on this trip-Thank you!! (And, to a girl who wanted/needed to eat every 5 minutes-I'm talking about me here, not Riley haha!)
We managed to get a picture of almost everyone that went on a hike in the mountains :)

Riley and I were able to attend the Blickenstaff Family Reunion! It was a good thing because the last time we had one was 6 years ago! This time it was on Blue Mountain- which is between Blanding and Monticello, UT. It was wonderful to be able to see most of my cousins, aunts and uncle's. And, all of them were shocked that I was old enough to have a 2 1/2 year old and one on the way! We wished everyone could have met Jake, but we are SO grateful he is employed and had to stay home and work...maybe next time :)

Other than Christmas, the 4th of July is my all-time favorite holiday! Being with family, the food, the excitement of the whole town and of course the fireworks! But, I wanted to take a moment and thank the men and women who made the 4th of July even possible. I will be ever so grateful that I live in this country! I'm guilty of sometimes taking for granted the freedom's we enjoy each and every day. But, I do have pride for this place! I am grateful I was raised in a patriotic home. And, was reminded that it wasn't easy to get what we have today. So, thank you to all the men and women who continue to fight for our rights. God Bless America!

Camping

Last night we went camping! Jake and I had been wanting to go with Riley- now that she is a little older. Since we rarely go camping..something is always left behind. Like a pot for making oatmeal for breakfast. Luckily, we remembered after we had been on the road for 25 minutes and stopped at a gas station to buy a canned drink (We only needed something to boil water in). Once we arrived and started setting up our tent and chairs we were attacked by mesquitos! Like a million of them..Riley thought it was cool that they were landing on her and wanted to show them off..haha! Sad, I know! Once Jake and I saw them hanging out on her face we decided to jump back in the car and find a store to buy bug spray!!! It made the experience 1,000 times more enjoyable. (Note to self: Bring a pot and bug spray next time..remember bugs are everywhere and not just in Texas). We had a yummy dinner of chicken, potatoes, carrots and onions wrapped in foil. Some of you call them hobo meals, tin foil dinners, or as I called them growing up, turtles. And, of course SMORES.mmmmmm... We went on some walks, watched some men fishing and boating and relaxed by the fire. Once it was time for bed, we watched a movie in the tent. The day was really fun and Riley loved every second. Her favorite part was being in the tent, she called it her "house" and thought it was awesome to be sleeping outside next to Mom and Dad. OK, get ready for this next part.... The movie is over and it's time to SLEEP. This is the part I was nervous about.... Riley talked, clapped, sang songs, laughed, played with our faces, rolled around and cried till 2 am. We tried to hold her still, whisper for her to be quite and go to sleep, put her in timeout and even stuck her in the car for 10 minutes to burn off some steam. Jake and I were praying for the sun to come up! haha! Once she was asleep for a couple hours, she started whimpering/crying for no reason...well, I'm sure there was a reason, but we didn't know what it was. And, that went on for 30 minutes. Oh the joys of camping! :) After reading all of this you are probably thinking.."Wow, what a horrible camping trip!" But, we thought the entire evening was entertaining! (Another note to self: Never let your child eat 10 marsh-mellows before you go to bed and expect them to not get over-stimulated).

4 Wheelin'

During our visit to my parents home for Father's Day, we went 4-wheeling! It was a 3 hour ride on a really pretty trail that just so happened to stumble upon a beautiful lake. Riley was not happy that she had to wear a helmet at first! But, once we started driving, she loved every minute of it! And, I just have to mention she was a champ at going potty in the woods ;)

Congrats to Scott and Traci, for having a healthy and precious baby boy! (Sorry it took me a few days to post this! :) Jake actually had the idea of making Scott and Traci a pinata to take to the hospital. And, since Scott is an Atlanta Braves fan, we thought it appropriate to paint a baseball, once it finished drying. It was a fun craft and we really enjoyed making it! We love you guys and are excited for you to be parents!!

So, my Dad calls me up and asks if Jake and I want there 47" VIZIO TV. He said after having it for only 3 years it stopped working. He said we could take it and try to fix it if we wanted...if we were not interested, he was going to throw it away! Crazy right? Because if any of you know my husband even a little bit, you would know that he is the handiest human being on the planet! So, of course we took it :) Might as well try, right? It's not like anyone needs a TV this HUGE, but if it's free than why not?? So, like I knew he could/would, Jake fixed it by replacing some cable that cost us $20. Totally awesome, right? Yeah, he's the MAN! And, now we get to feel like we are at the movies every time we turn it on....... ;)

It was a go-go-go weekend! And, we had a blast! In fact, we enjoyed ourselves so much I didn't take a single picture! Oops :) I got a total of 3 days off. I got to take a normal break like everyone else! But, for me it was the longest break I have had from working since Christmas! So, I loved every minute. We were able to spend time with Jake's entire family, except for our Brother-in-Law Leonard. Riley could not get enough of her cousin's! She loves them to pieces, especially Mandy! I appreciate my nieces and nephews who are always so kind to the smaller cousins. We did a Baby Shower for my Sister-in-Law Traci, who is due in just a couple weeks with a baby boy! They are going to name him Enoch Scott :) She got a lot of fun and much needed things and we had fun planning and decorating everything for her! Also, My Sister-in-Law Markell and Brother-in-Law Andre, went through the temple here in Idaho Falls for the first time! It was really neat to be in the temple with so much family. Congrats again Markell and Andre!! We also had the chance to be gathered as a family for Jackson (my youngest Brother-in-Law) to be ordained an Elder. Not too much longer till he sends in his papers and get's called to serve! We love you Jax! It's always great to be with family! Hope everyone else had a memorable Memorial Day weekend :)

Sweet Riley turned 29 months yesterday! One more month till she is 2 1/2! I can't believe how fast time has gone by! (She is wearing my boots that go up to my knees..haha! ..on her they go up to her bum :)

As much as we would have Loved/Needed to have sold our house, that's been for sale almost 10 months, we finally decided to rent it and maybe try selling it again next year. Rent is good too, because we can now focus on one mortgage. Thanks for the prayers of family and friends :) Better luck next year.....I hope.

These baby goats are just 2 weeks old! They wouldn't let anyone near them, which made me sad. Never before have I wanted to have a goat as a pet...only if they stayed miniature :)

I decided to take Riley to Tautphaus (I do not care if I spelled that name wrong in the slightest) Park today, to play on the slides and swings. When we got there, I noticed that Tautphaus Zoo had some cars in there parking lot...WHAT? Could this really be?? And, it was!!! The Zoo was open!! My husband will agree that all I ever talk about is the Zoo when it comes to Spring and Summertime. I LOVE ZOO's! I had NO idea it was open yet...because Idaho likes to have at least 7 month-long winters...You do not understand how giddy I was! I think I was more excited about today than any of the 4, 5, 6 and 7 year old kids I saw there. :) Thank you for the sunshine Idaho!! Keep it up for as longggg as possible-I have missed you!

Potty-Training!

She's been running around the house in panties! (And, she's wearing my running shoes in this picture, that's why her feet look so big!) We started potty-training Riley the day after Easter. And, so far she has done really well! I'm very proud of her. She started understanding the feeling of having "to go," after 2 1/2 days and now tells us when she has to. She still has an occasional accident, but for the most part I'm pretty impressed with her potty-training skills. Now I'll just have to see how long it takes for me to feel comfortable leaving our home with her. :) I'm sure going out in public is a challenge in itself!

Riley was spoiled this year with 2 Easter Egg Hunt's! The first one was at Grandma and Grandpa Fuller's home, with all of Riley's cousins and the 2nd was at our home with Jake and I. :) What a fun time of year! I can't wait for it to actually feel like Spring here in Idaho!

I thought it would be interesting/kinda fun to jog my memory and list all the jobs I've had. My first job was a baker/cashier/deliverer at Great Harvest Bread, I worked at The Sports Institute of Physical Therapy as a receptionist/therapists assistant hands on, I was the receptionist at SuperAll (a cleaning solution business, where I also learned how to make my clients coffee :) -a skill I don't care to have), for a very brief period I worked at Sign-A-Rama..which I really enjoyed, but my boss was crazy and luckily I got pregnant and was too sick to work! Than Jake and I opened up Scoot N' Powersports, where we thoroughly enjoyed owning and operating a business together. Than as you all know, I got a job with Bridgemaxx Internet-which was too short lived and now..........I am having a background check to see if I qualify to work at Motherhood Maternity. So, as long as I am not a criminal, I got a job! Thank you for all your prayers

I was laid off at 8:00 pm last night. A quick call from my boss apologizing for no advanced notice. About 20 of us that I know of lost our jobs due to the economy. We are told everything happens for a reason. I pray we figure out a solution soon.

Valentine's

Sadly, I didn't take any pictures! But, I thought I would share what my lovely husband did for me. While I was at work all day on Saturday...the 13th-Jake was busy cooking and cleaning the house. I was not expecting to celebrate Valentine's a day early! Hence the surprise! I walked in the door and Jake and Riley were all dressed up! Riley was holding two teddy bears that were attached to each-other that said, "I Love You Forever." And, Jake was holding 3 red roses...which symbolized the 3 years we have been married. The table was set and dinner was amazing! Jake steamed carrots and made rotini alfredo. And, for dessert....drum roll please....delicious homemade cheesecake with Oreo crust!!! It was amazing! I am still SO impressed that Jake made it!! What a stud! And, to top it off he rented us a chick flic :) Thanks Babe for such a wonderful surprise-I love you!

Riley's 1st Haircut!

At 26 months...Riley finally got her first haircut! We liked how long it was getting, but it totally needed a trim. I thought she was going to be terrified..but, she was fine and I'm proud of her! She sat really still.

We are putting our house up for sale. Some of you are thinking.."What? Don't you already have your other house up for sale?" The answer is yes. We need one of them to sell-it's terrible to have to pay 2 mortgages every month and we are sick and tired of it! So let your friends and family know their are 2 great homes in Idaho Falls for Sale. For those of you who haven't seen it, GO!! It's seriously an amazing movie. One of the Best we have ever seen.... (Even cooler than Star Trek). We just watched it for the 2nd time in 3D! It's one of those movies you just have to see in theaters. Ok, I'm done being a nerd for now :)
